Project Description:
The number one objective of this project, located in the city of Saint-Georges and supported by the Collectivité Territoriale de Guyane, is to slow down the school dropout rate among young people living in eastern Guyana, by allowing them to study near their place of residence. These young people, mainly from St-Georges, Régina but also from Camopi had to travel to Cayenne to study in a high school, far from their relatives.
Designed by BMCDM Architecte, Peerdeo Singh, Jean Pierre LASALARIE and Yves Le Tirant, the school complex will include a 600-seat middle school, a high school that can accommodate nearly 765 students, a 140-bed boarding school, a restaurant and sports facilities. All of these lots will be spread over a vast 8-hectare plot, and will have a total of 19,767 m² of floor space and 16,072 m² of outdoor space.
The estimated duration of this project is 22 months.
MBAcity, a company specialized in BIM and the support of the construction industry, is in charge of the BIM Management and the BIM Synthesis on the project of the school of Saint Georges de l'Oyapock.

A word about the use of AxeoBIM:
"To facilitate the exchange of key information with all BIM participants and companies, we used the AxeoBIM collaborative platform. This tool facilitated the processing and management of more than 2000 documents. Each participant can view the models, plans and all the documents related to the site.
Result: " Fewer emails sent and controlled circuit of exchanges and validations".
