The AxeoBIM platform has been selected by the Impluvium consortium for the Austerlitz Storage Basin project.
Project Description:
Construction of a 50m diameter basin for the storage of 46,000m3 of water. The objective is to return overflow water from the Parisian sewerage system.
The project is in line with the decree of July 21, 2015 on collective sanitation systems, taken in particular in application of the European Water Framework Directive (WFD). This regulation strongly limits wastewater discharges in rainy weather, in order to restore the good status of water bodies. It also imposes a logic of territorial and metropolitan solidarity with an objective of results on the scale of the Paris metropolitan area's wastewater system. To meet these objectives, the City of Paris has therefore drawn up a plan to improve the quality of the water in the Seine, based on diversified and complementary methods of intervention: rainwater zoning to infiltrate or reuse rainwater as close as possible to where it falls, the creation and optimization of storage capacities and automated management of the network
The project is also part of the 2024 Olympic Games for swimming on the Seine. The works are located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris for the basin itself and one of the two connection wells. The second connection shaft is located in the 12th district. A connecting structure called "interceptor" links them by crossing the Seine.
